Help Out a Pooch

- 2026 Improvement Project

In the year 2026 we at Wanderers Rest are focused on making meaningful improvements to our facility. After successfully renovating all of our cat rooms, it’s now our dogs’ turn.

We are excited to begin construction on a brand-new outdoor dog enrichment area designed to enhance their comfort, stimulation, and overall well-being.

If you would like to support this project, please click the image or scan the QR code to be led to a list of things we need. Your generosity makes these improvements possible.

When you adopt a pet, you provide a loving home to an animal in need, reducing the number of homeless pets and easing the burden on shelters. Adoption helps combat the unethical practices of puppy mills and commercial breeding facilities, which often prioritize profit over animal welfare. By choosing to adopt, you support a humane and sustainable approach to pet ownership, ensuring that every animal gets a chance to experience love and care.

Plus, adopted pets are just as loving, loyal, and wonderful as any pet you might purchase, with the added joy of knowing you’ve made a positive difference in their life.

Kind Words

My smiley Willow! I’ve been so fortunate to have adopted this amazing pup from Wanderers' Rest Humane Association! Willow was flown from Puerto Rico to upstate NY around 2020 hurricane season. She quickly got used to her snowy new home!! Y’all graciously accepted her into your rescue and blessed me and my older pup with this precious baby!
