WANDERERS’ REST HUMANE ASSOCIATION EDUCATION PROGRAM

Madison county’s exclusive humane education outreach program for youth/teens/college and adults.

  • The home of “being kind to animals is way cool (3rd – 12th to adult) 
  • Planting the compassion seed for little sprouts” (pre-k – 2nd grade)

   

 

 

WRHA offers Humane Education Services including in-shelter tours, presentations, and on-site visits for:

    • School classrooms
    • Civic and church groups
    • Scout troops and badge merit programs
    • Special education groups
    • Nursing homes
    • Hospitals
    • Day cares
  • and much more

We can accompany your visit with a pet and a variety of hand-outs specifically designed to be age appropriate for a variety of animal welfare issues including, but not limited to,

  • Spay/Neuter
  • Shelter facts and stats
  • Overpopulation
  • Losing a pet
  • Donation drive ideas for animals
  • Community service 
  • Nurturing compassion for all ages

Special programs such as Character Education fill educational needs by providing teaching standards that meet educational laws in NYS schools.
